Over the past couple years the BC Chapter has looked to use Philanthropy to inform our members of the issues going on across the globe. Prior to the recent Car Smash in support of the Uganda Rural Fund we had been planning on loaning funds to Entrepreneurs on several continents to promote micro credit. Using KIVA an online lending site we were able to choose 3 entrepreneurs thousands of kilometers away and fund their start-ups. The program launched recently and we hope to keep fund raising and re loaning the funds in perpetuity. We hope this program will continue for years to come and raise relevant issues outside the classroom among our members.
